Alliance Volunteers
Alliance is entirely volunteer run. It takes a lot of work to run this club. We now have 10 teams, approximately 160 players, 8 coaches and just a few administrative people. In looking at the workload of our volunteers, we are asking the community of families to examine the list below and determine if one of these roles could be filled by you. If you can fill any of these roles, please complete this form. Please note, right now Alliance is looking for higher level volunteers who can work independently. Right now we are not looking for people to work any of the events that may be ultimately organized, we are looking for people to head up those events or tasks. If you see a need or a role that Alliance should have and is not listed, please use this form to suggest that.

Event Planner.
Plan end of year event for the club. Club outing, perhaps to Red Stars or Chicago Fire. Maye the club or a team runs a local race together? Work with fundraising volunteer to plan fundraising event (auction? dinner?) or perhaps plan a club wide food drive, participation in a race or parade. Occasionally, community events arise -- for example the world cup viewing nights, and we would like the person filling this role to participate and lead those events on Alliance’s behalf.
Fundraising Planner.
The club is looking for someone to be in charge of fundraising to come up with ideas for the board to vote on for fundraising. Ideas are, auction or dinner where signs, magnets and stickers are given as part of entry. The sale of signs, magnets, training t-shirt, winter cap, or something similar.
Tryout organizer.
Organize and get volunteers, communicate with the volunteers, print the paperwork for tryouts, organize the paperwork at the tryouts, buy supplies for tryouts (pens, folders, tape, sharpies, pins, tryout numbers). The paperwork and process is already in place, so unless there is a desire no need to create new protocol. The day of tryouts, this person will have to use the information from the tryout sign ups to prepare the sign in sheets and coaches’ sheets. Should start preparations in March. Alliance reimburses for all purchases, printing and copying. The majority of this job will be done in April and May.
Club Registration.
Alliance is hoping to continue to improve the method of registering new players. This year marked a development in that we had an online registration platform and two registration nights. It is just around the corner! This person would be involved with organizing the in-person registration nights. There is already a process in place for in-person registration, so no re-inventing the wheel needed for the in person registration night. But Alliance needs someone in charge to execute it.
Other Ideas? What else do we need and you would be willing to run?
